i had this talk during
Chapel.
it talked about people
being HOT and NOT.
the speaker showed us
many pictures of
'hot guys'
(none of which were hot)
and a picture of Hiro Nakamura
came up.
many of us
eww-ed
(of course)
but then it made me realise
how image is so important to
a human being
all they EVER care about
is looks.
everything is about looks.
no one really cares about what's inside
anymore.
it was always
'LOOKS ARE EVERYTHING'
or
'YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS TO MAKE FRIENDS'
which i think is stupid.
what the Media today is trying to
portray today is this:
if you want to fit into society,
you have to have the looks.
That's why they have people like:
-Miley Cyrus
-Jonas Brothers
-Avril Lavgine
ectect.
and of course there's the infamous
TWILIGHT(aka. BELLA AND EDWARD)
have you noticed that in the book,
they are trying to say that in order
to have a happily ever,
you have to get a super 'hawt' boyfriend
who's perfect in every way.
and people like Bella Swan are
Mary Sues who think that they are
oh-so perfect.
NEWS FLASH:
no one's EVER PERFECT,
we just try to make the best out of
things(:
